2022-2023 Erin Condren LifePlanner Launch Digest

Planner launch season is upon us! It’s almost time to order your new Erin Condren LifePlanner and coordinating accessories for July 2022-June 2023. It’s my second year joining in on the Erin Condren launch day fun, and I still can’t believe that I get to share the collection with you!

Thank you to Tori and the Erin Condren team for sending me these planners & accessories!

Joining the planner community and seeing all the bright and shiny planners was a lot for me to digest my first year, so I hope to streamline your process in this post. I’ll be sharing about the themes, sizes, accessories, and how to choose the best planner for you. Let’s dive in!

We’ve seen sneak peeks and short snippets of what the new Erin Condren LifePlanner collection will look like, but it’s finally time to share more insights about the new planners! I’ve received two planner formats that I get to share with you- the hourly LifePlanner and A5 Ring Agenda Daily Duo. Before I get into the “guts” of the planners, let’s talk themes.

Themes

I still feel like I’m so new to the planner community and what I like to call “specialty planners” like these, but if this is actually your first time diving into these kinds of planners then welcome to the community! Each year around April/May, Erin Condren releases new agendas that run from July through June of the following year. This is sometimes referred to as an “academic year” planner. With any changes in layout (horizontal vs vertical vs any other options), there’s new design themes inspired by a hope for future planning. The themes for this year are Harmony Neutral, Harmony Colorful, In Bloom, Colorblends. I chose an Hourly planner with the In Bloom theme and Daily Duo with the Colorblends theme. I didn’t think that a design could be great in vegan leather but these are both standouts for me! And that’s not just because I’m glad we’re putting the Mid Century Circles planner design to rest (I know, I know, I’m an MCC hater). The girls who get it, get it, you know?

Formats, Layouts, and Sizes, Oh My!

As for planner formats, most of your favorites from recent years will be making a comeback with the exception of the hourly and horizontal layouts in the binder format. This brings the full format list to include an A5 rings, coiled, and binder planner. More planner designs and layouts means whittling down the ones that get a little less traction with purchases. (If you want to see some changes, be sure to fill out the survey that Erin Condren sends out to customers!) Most of the options will also come in 7x9, along with A5 for ring agendas. The 8.5x11 size will not be available for LifePlanners to make way for the new designs and layouts this year. If a soft bound planner is more your speed, stay tuned to hear more about the softbound planner and notebook release in the coming months!

New Planner Guts on the Block

One of the standouts for this year is a new to Erin Condren layout- A5 Vertical Compact. The planner fam has spoken and they wanted a smaller version of the flagship 7x9 vertical planner. I have never been a vertical planner at heart, but this option gives room for flexible planning that combines the good of a vertical planner with everything I love in a horizontal planner! I didn’t receive this layout to review, but check out my Instagram page for posts and stories linking affiliates that have reviews on other planner layouts and formats that you don’t see here.

This year, the Daily Duo also received a refresh thanks to customer reviews. When I tell you that I screamed when I saw this change after opening my launch box, I’m actually understating my reaction. The 2022-2023 Daily Duo has- wait for it- a notes page after each and every week following the Sunday page! If you’re someone that likes having an overview of your week, but are trying to transition to daily pages that can fit all of your plans, ideas, and tasks then the Daily Duo FINALLY can be a viable option for you. Many people, myself included, envisioned such a notes page so that we can create our own weekly overview without bulking up the planner or carrying around a separate weekly planner entirely. Of course, this page has a million potential great uses which I will outline soon, but the point is that you have more flexibility to plan the best days for YOU. Sign up for my newsletter to hear more about how I’m using these new planners and ideas on how to make yours work for you (and not vice versa).

More ring agenda news is that the inserts will be offered separately from the actual A5 agenda cover. If you choose to buy the inserts on their own to refill an agenda cover you already have at home, the inserts will only come in 12-month packs- either July 2022 through June 2023 or January 2023 through December 2023.

Whew- we covered so much about the new release, but if you’re like me, all that excitement has you mixing up what will be available on launch day. Fear not - here’s a quick guide to what the planner offerings will entail this year:

Cover Your LP Bases with New Designs

One of the coolest things about ordering an agenda from a company like Erin Condren is getting to choose your own cover with personalizations and coil color. Coil colors offered with the new planner offerings will be platinum, gold, and rose gold. (Pour one out for the black coil missing from this year’s lineup.) There’s so many new covers to choose from that have recently been released and will be posted on the site on launch day.

Accessories

Before you hop off to make your launch day shopping list, don’t forget about matching accessories! Bundles will also be available on launch day to get your favorite planner and accessories in one fell swoop (and save some money to get new stationery). My top two must have accessories are the black dual tip markers and sticky notes dashboard. The dual tip markers are wonderful for minimal on-the-go planning with just one writing tool. The sticky notes dashboard. It’s not quite new, but definitely improved with a binding that fits into a coiled planner or an A5 ring agenda cover! No more buying double the accessories to own two EC planner formats. Be sure to snag anything that’s been on your list for a while- the usual 15% off has been upped to 20% off when you buy three or more accessories only during LifePlanner launch week (4/25/22-5/1/22).

Many accessories are up for grabs as a purchase, with some others being a gift available with purchase. These include a choice between this Harmony Colorful tote bag and In Bloom page marker set for EC Insiders; and an additional Flora padfolio and pen set for Rose Gold Insiders. EVERY LifePlanner purchase will come with a metal bookmark sticky flag gift set while supplies last. These gifts with purchase are perks only available on EC Insider launch day (4/25).
